The Governing Body of the school has significant powers, duties and responsibilities under the Education Reform Act 1988 which have increased the involvement of Governors in the life of the school.

There are various committees of the Governing Body dealing with such things as finance, premises, health and safety, curriculum, and staffing.  Governors take an active part in the school’s curriculum debates and other development meetings.  All parents with a child or children at the school are eligible to be nominated as a Parent-Governor, as vacancies arise.
